Guyana gets legal aid

The Commonwealth Secretariat attended a seminar in Guyana in November, aimed at improving the process for civil litigation in the country.

The Secretariat, through the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation had been supporting Guyana in simplifying its litigation process – reducing the number of cases that end up in court and reducing delays.

The November seminar, hosted by a senior judge from Trinidad and Tobago, was aimed at lawyers, judges and court registry staff.
